Lanxess is leading the way in sustainability. Recently, it earned a spot on the prestigious ‘A List’ for climate protection from CDP, a well-known climate protection initiative. This acknowledgment marks the company’s seventh consecutive year receiving this honor, placing it among the top 4% of over 22,100 companies evaluated worldwide.
CDP praised Lanxess for its solid strategies in emissions reduction, climate-friendly products, and governance. Companies that receive an ‘A’ rating are recognized for their transparent communication about climate actions and their commitment to environmental goals. Key factors include science-based targets and a robust climate protection plan.
Lanxess also shines in water management. CDP awarded the company an impressive A- in this area, reflecting its ongoing dedication to sustainability since it began reporting to CDP in 2012.
In December 2025, the sustainability platform EcoVadis also recognized Lanxess with a Gold status. Scoring 83 out of 100, the company improved its performance from the previous year and ranked among the top 2% of evaluated companies. Hubert Fink, a member of Lanxess’s management board, noted that these assessments demonstrate their commitment to sustainability, benefiting both the planet and their customers.
CDP is a trusted non-profit that collects data from companies about greenhouse gas emissions and water management. In 2025, it gathered data from thousands of companies, establishing a benchmark for corporate sustainability. Similarly, EcoVadis aids over 150,000 companies in evaluating sustainable practices in supply chains, making its ratings critical for many businesses, including Lanxess’s customers.
As users increasingly prioritize environmental responsibility, these ratings highlight how Lanxess is not just meeting the market’s demand but also setting a standard for others in the industry. The emphasis on sustainability resonates strongly in today’s climate-conscious world, marking a significant shift from just focusing on profits to prioritizing the planet.
