Kennedy Wharton, a Dedman College of Hospitality student and member of the Marching Chiefs, expressed her excitement. “Being part of such a significant celebration is special for me as a legacy student. My parents both attended FSU and were on the Marching Chiefs too,” she said. This connection across generations showcases the deep roots many families have at FSU.
Gracey Messingschlager, a student in the College of Arts and Sciences, also enjoyed the festivities. She noted the changes at the university over the years. “I have a family legacy here, and it’s amazing to see how much has transformed,” she said, pointing out the lively atmosphere complete with cupcakes and custom buttons.
