Team Highlights
The Wolverines are making waves this season, ranked 10th nationally and 5th in balance beam. They’re also in the top 10 for uneven bars, holding 9th place, while they sit 16th on vault and 18th on floor exercise. A standout performer, Kayli Boozer, is tied for 7th nationally after securing her third consecutive beam title with a score of 9.900. She’s hit two 9.950s and a 9.900 this season alone!
Boozer has a knack for consistency, owning a total of six beam titles at Michigan with three scores of 9.950 already. Meanwhile, sophomore Sophia Diaz is also shining. During a recent meet against Iowa, she achieved three impressive scores of 9.900, securing the title on vault and placing second on both the uneven bars and floor. Diaz has been on fire, scoring 9.900 or higher 13 times in her career and claiming seven event titles.
Historical Context: The Wolverines broke their own beam record this season with an astounding score of 49.650 at the Sprouts Farmers Collegiate Quad, surpassing the previous record of 49.625 set in 2023. This showcases their continuous improvement and commitment to excellence.
Looking ahead, the Wolverines will head to Ohio State next Saturday, February 7, for a 4 p.m. meet against the Buckeyes. You can watch it live on B1G+.
