Discover Exciting Weekend Events: Winter Carnival, Delicious Food, Captivating Films, and More in Concord!

As the end of the month rolls in, spring still feels distant. Recently, we weathered a heavy winter storm, leaving behind a foot of snow and a lot of shoveling. Now that it’s behind us, it’s time to reconnect with our community while staying warm and energy-efficient. Here are some cozy indoor activities to help shake off that winter chill.

First up, don’t miss the screenings of “The Testament of Ann Lee” at Red River Theatres. In collaboration with Canterbury Shaker Village, the screenings will feature a discussion with the museum’s Curator of Research & Collections. Enjoy the film on Saturday at 4 p.m. or catch the Sunday showing at 10 a.m. For tickets, visit Red River Theatres.

If you’re in a creative mood, check out The Eleventh Letter Writing Gallery in downtown Concord. On Saturday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Artist-in-Residence Duston Spear will hold a talk during the opening reception. It’s a great chance to see art and chat with the artist.

For all the food lovers, stop by Table Bakery in Eagle Square for the “Table at Night” event. From 4 p.m. onward, you can enjoy small plates, wine, beer, and live music in a cozy setting.

And if you’re up for some outdoor fun, join the Winter Carnival at White Park with Concord Parks and Rec. Starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, there will be sledding, ice skating (rentals available for just $5), and a bonfire to keep warm.

Enjoy your weekend and stay cozy!
