The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots took to the practice field on Thursday, marking their first workout since winning the conference championships. This gave us a clearer view of their injury statuses.
For the Seahawks, the injury report showed some improvements. Linebacker Ernest Jones IV, initially expected to miss practice due to a chest issue, was able to participate, although he was limited.
However, not all updates were positive. Left tackle Charles Cross missed practice with a foot problem, adding to his previous lower-body injuries. Since mid-December, he has been dealing with hamstring and knee issues as well. Also absent were reserve tackle Amari Kight, dealing with a knee issue, and tight end Eric Saubert, who has a hamstring concern.
Overall, Seattle had eight players limited during practice, including:
- WR Jake Bobo (hand)
- QB Sam Darnold (oblique)
- OT Josh Jones (ankle, knee)
- S Julian Love (shoulder)
- FB Robbie Ouzts (neck)
- FB Brady Russell (hand)
- LB Drake Thomas (ankle)
Chazz Surratt was the only Seahawk to fully participate despite his ankle injury.
On the Patriots’ side, their injury list was shorter, featuring nine players. Three did not practice: linebackers Harold Landrys and Robert Spillane, and tackle Thayer Munford. Five other players were limited, including quarterback Drake Maye, who is nursing a shoulder injury. The other limited players included tight end Hunter Henry, wide receiver Mack Hollins, running back Terrell Jennings, and tackle Morgan Moses.
Interestingly, Joshua Farmer was the only healthy Patriot to fully practice despite being on the injury report.
