The Nanooks hockey team celebrated another victory, defeating the Long Island Sharks 5-1. This win boosts their record to 9-14-2, while the Sharks drop to 11-14-1.

But in the second period, Dean Spak scored his first career goal, giving Alaska a 1-0 lead. He redirected a shot from the point by Adam Cardona. Shortly after, Peyton Platter extended the lead to 2-0 with a neat wrap-around shot.

When the third period began, LIU cut the lead to 2-1 with a power-play goal from Nate Benoit. However, the Nanooks quickly responded, scoring three goals in just over four minutes. Tommy Cronin, followed by Chase Dafoe and Alexander Malinowski, sealed the game, bringing the final score to 5-1.
