Winona State Gymnastics Secures a Close Win Against Storm
The Winona State gymnastics team showcased their talent and teamwork, triumphing over the Storm with a score of 188.500 to 187.425. The home crowd witnessed some impressive performances, especially from Gabby Kraft, who stood out as the event champion on the floor.
In the vault event, Irene Kearney led the Warriors with a solid score of 9.525, closely followed by Franki Jo MacAskill at 9.500. Courtney Knutson contributed with a 9.450, while Molly Amrhein and Gabby Kraft added scores of 9.400 and 9.375, respectively.
On the bars, Addison Ward shone with a 9.525, securing third place overall. Kaylee Bateman supported the team with her 9.500, while Jessica Miley, Ella Denno, and Irene Kearney also delivered strong scores, maintaining the team’s competitive edge.
Gabby Kraft continued her exceptional day on the beam, achieving 9.750. Her performance, combined with Reagan Kelley’s 9.475 and Kaylee Bateman’s 9.300, paved the way for success in this event.
The floor was another highlight for the Warriors. Gabby Kraft led with a score of 9.700, claiming the top spot. Franki Jo MacAskill was right behind her at 9.675, earning second place, while Jessica Miley secured third with 9.650. Lynley Welshenbaugh and Lenee Dimkin also contributed to the team’s strength with scores of 9.475 and 9.225.
