Gutekunst’s Perspective on the Packers’ Season

Despite some challenges with special teams this season, including missed kicks and issues in the return game, Gutekunst appreciates the stability Bisaccia and his team provide.
“We’ve seen what Rich brings to our culture,” Gutekunst remarked. He believes that the impact of coaching goes beyond strategy—it’s about building a strong team environment.

With the recent contract extensions for Gutekunst, head coach Matt LaFleur, and executive VP Russ Ball, the team is set for continuity. Gutekunst, who has been with the Packers since 1997, is eager to continue working toward success. He acknowledges the frustrations following this season but remains grateful for the opportunity to guide the team.
“After five losses, it’s easy to feel frustrated, but I’m appreciative of the chance Ed’s given us,” he said. His relationship with LaFleur and Ball ensures that the leadership stays aligned in their goals.
LaFleur’s coaching has come under praise from Gutekunst. “He’s the guy we need.” They all share a desire for improvement, looking to bounce back quickly after a tough season.
