Join Us for a Free Food Distribution at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds on February 11!

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds is stepping up to help fight food insecurity. They’re hosting a popup food distribution event on Wednesday, February 11, from 3 to 4 p.m. This event aims to provide free food for those who need it most.

The Edmonds Food Bank will be supplying a truck filled with fresh fruits, meats, and prepackaged items. Everyone is welcome to come and select what they need. This initiative shows the church’s dedication to supporting its community.

The food truck will be stationed on the north side of St. Alban’s, located at 21405 82nd Pl. W., Edmonds, near the Five Corners roundabout. Look for signs on 212th Street Southwest and 84th Avenue West guiding you to the church.

In addition to the popup event, St. Alban’s has a “Blessings Food Pantry” available all day near the front doors. This pantry lets anyone in need take food or contribute items. It’s a wonderful resource built on community spirit.

According to recent statistics, nearly 10% of households in Washington State are food insecure. Community-led efforts like St. Alban’s food distribution and pantry address this pressing issue directly. Experts emphasize that food security is crucial for overall health and well-being.

Make sure to spread the word and help those who might benefit from this support. Every small act counts in creating a stronger community. For more information about local food resources, you can visit the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services for assistance options.
