Exciting changes are on the way for Xbox Game Pass, according to a recent report.
Xbox Game Pass has become a key part of the Xbox experience. Last October, the price for Game Pass Ultimate increased to $29.99 per month. This was after the addition of nearly 50 new games and a commitment to releasing over 75 new titles on launch day every year.
Tom Warren from The Verge suggests that more changes could be coming soon. Microsoft is looking into bundling extra services with Game Pass subscriptions. Currently, Game Pass Ultimate includes access to Fortnite Crew, Ubisoft+ Classics, and EA Play.
Additionally, Microsoft might merge Xbox Game Pass Premium with PC Game Pass. The PC version, priced at $16.49 per month, only lets players access games on their computers, not on consoles or via cloud gaming.
However, Warren doesn’t anticipate any immediate changes to Game Pass this year. Since Xbox made significant updates recently and continues to see growth in PC Game Pass subscriptions, things seem stable for now.
Looking ahead, AMD has hinted that the next Xbox console could debut in 2027. This new console is rumored to be a hybrid of PC and traditional gaming. Moreover, in 2025, Xbox entered the handheld market with devices like the ROG Ally, expanding its gaming reach.
