JACKSON — Raising Cane’s opened in Jackson this week, and many locals showed up excited to try the famous chicken. The restaurant is located on Vann Drive, and its grand opening included some fun giveaways. The first 100 customers received free meals and cool merchandise.
Cody Fessell, the area leader, shared, “The first 100 customers got free Cane’s and some swag. Anyone in line before 9 a.m. had a chance to win free Cane’s for a year.”
Jake Schotter, the very first customer, enjoyed his Caniac combo and received a drink, basket, and hat. He was thrilled, saying, “It’s much better than finger lickin’ good.”
But Raising Cane’s plans to do more than just serve food. They are committed to the community and want to support local causes. Fessell mentioned, “We have great partnerships. We plan to donate to no-kill animal shelters and help youth groups and churches.”
This community spirit can be seen nationwide, as many fast-food chains now focus on local involvement as a part of their brand. A recent survey by the National Restaurant Association showed that 60% of consumers prefer businesses that give back to their communities.
Raising Cane’s hours are from 10 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and until 1 a.m. on weekends, making it a convenient spot for late-night cravings.
