Clark Shines in ACCs with Fourth-Place Finish, Boosting Florida State’s Standing!

FSU Swimming and Diving: ACC Championships Kick Off

The Florida State swimming and diving team began the 2026 ACC Championships on a high note. Redshirt senior Kayleigh Clark stood out by finishing fourth in the women’s three-meter dive event at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.

Clark had a solid performance, scoring 296.85 in the preliminaries to advance to the finals. She improved her score to 300.15 in the final, securing her place among the top competitors. “It was a good start,” said FSU head coach Neal Studd. “Kayleigh was consistent and showed improvement.”

This marked Clark’s fifth time reaching an ACC final, and it was her first finish in the top five. On the men’s side, sophomore Hayden Schroeder finished 12th on the one-meter board with a score of 310.95.

The competitions are not just about individual achievements; they also toss FSU into the midst of a fierce team rivalry. Last year, FSU showcased its strength with 21 top-eight finishes, setting school records along the way. Freshman Michel Arkhangelsky even clinched gold in the 100 backstroke.

The ACC Championships are a great stage for these athletes. In addition to individual glory, teams can earn respect and recognition. According to recent reports from the NCAA, the competition among programs has become fiercer, with many colleges adding advanced training and nutrition programs to support their athletes.

Looking ahead, the Seminoles will continue their journey. They are scheduled to compete again soon, and fans can catch live streamed events on the ACC Network Extra. For more details on scheduling, performance updates, and results, follow FSU swimming on their social media platforms.

This week is vital, as the team gears up for the Bulldog Invitational Last Chance Meet and the NCAA Zone Diving Championships later this month. The NCAA Championships will follow in March, where both men’s and women’s teams will look to shine.
