Indian Railways has made updates to the schedule of the Firozpur Cantt-Delhi Vande Bharat Express train. This train, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, 2025, offers a semi-high-speed journey, managed by the Northern Railway zone.
The train operates as number 26462/26461, covering a distance of 486 kilometers in just 6 hours and 40 minutes, making it the fastest option on that route.
During its journey, the train will make stops at several key stations: Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, and Panipat. A recent addition is an experimental stop at Barnala station, which will begin on February 20, 2026.
Here are the updated timings:
- From Firozpur: Leaves at 07:55 hrs, arrives in Delhi at 14:35 hrs.
- From Delhi: Leaves at 16:00 hrs, arrives in Firozpur at 22:35 hrs.
- At Barnala: Arrives at 09:59 hrs, departs at 10:01 hrs (Firozpur side). In return, arrives at 20:20 hrs and departs at 20:22 hrs.
This train runs six days a week, except Wednesdays, and consists of eight coaches—seven air-conditioned chair coaches and one executive air-conditioned coach. The addition of the Barnala stop aims to enhance connectivity for passengers in Punjab, making travel to the capital easier.
