Unlocking the Future: Galaxy AI Evolves into a Dynamic Multi-Agent Ecosystem with Deep Integration of Perplexity AI

Internal research at Samsung shows a fascinating trend: nearly 80% of users regularly use more than two AI agents. To meet this demand, Samsung is enhancing Galaxy AI with multi-agent support. This update aims to make juggling multiple AI tools much easier.

The new Galaxy AI will integrate these agents directly into the operating system. This means users can enjoy a smoother experience without needing to switch apps or repeat commands. With this setup, the agents will have better context for more natural interactions, making conversations feel seamless.

The first addition to this AI lineup is Perplexity. Users can activate it by saying “Hey Plex” or by using the side button, like the power button. Look out for it in upcoming flagship devices, including the Galaxy S26 series, which is on the horizon.

Plex will play a crucial role in Samsung’s apps, such as Gallery, Notes, Calendar, Clock, and Reminder. It’s designed to handle complex tasks by managing multi-step workflows, making it easier to get things done.

Samsung plans to announce more details about supported devices soon. It’s likely that the One UI 8.5 update will bring some of these features to older Galaxy S and Galaxy Z models. This update is part of Samsung’s commitment to creating an open and versatile AI ecosystem, according to Won-Joon Choi, COO of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) Business.

“We’re focused on giving users the flexibility and control to complete complex tasks quickly and easily. Galaxy AI will bring different AI forms together into a unified, natural experience,” Choi explained.

Adding to the excitement, Samsung also revealed an upgraded version of Bixby earlier this week. This new Bixby can change settings using more natural language prompts instead of rigid commands. It also offers real-time web searches, ensuring users get the most current information.

As AI continues to evolve, integrating technology into our daily lives becomes more seamless. Samsung’s focus on user experience positions it well to keep up with rapid advancements in AI.
