Internship Opportunity: Indo-German Partnership for Green and Sustainable Development
The Indo-German Partnership for Green and Sustainable Development was launched in May 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This partnership aims to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advance the Paris Climate Agreement. It fosters collaboration through various initiatives, focusing on climate change, sustainable development, and project building in India.
The partnership includes technical efforts like climate change mitigation, circular economy projects, natural resource management, and sustainable agriculture. These initiatives contribute to both national programs and international agreements on environmental protection.
In 2022, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) tasked GIZ with implementing a project named “Support to the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership.” This project aims to enhance climate policy and promote SDGs through three key areas: providing support to GSDP political partners, climate adaptation, and localizing SDGs in India.
