The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) based in Chennai has exciting news: they will launch two more Vande Bharat Sleeper trains by the end of March 2026. Currently, there are two of these sleeper services running on the Howrah-Guwahati route. ICF’s Public Relations Officer, MG Shanker, confirmed this development, stating, “We will roll out 2 more by next month.”
The journey of the Vande Bharat Sleeper trains began when the first one was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 17, 2026. This train boasts 16 coaches, with 11 for Third AC, 4 for Second AC, and 1 for First AC. Designed and built by ICF and BEML, it represents a significant step in modernizing Indian Railways.
