Discover the New Lenovo ThinkPad Detachable Tablet: Now with a Larger Screen and Enhanced Keyboard Experience!

Lenovo just unveiled five new ThinkPads and an updated ThinkBook at MWC 2026. Among these, the X13 Detachable stands out as a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the X12 Detachable.

The new X13 Detachable is equipped with Intel’s Panther Lake chip options. It boasts a larger 13-inch touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio, a crisp 2880 x 1920 resolution, and a smooth 120Hz variable refresh rate. The keyboard cover features full-size keycaps with deeper 1.5mm key travel, giving it the feel of a traditional ThinkPad keyboard. Notably, the stylus is now integrated within the keyboard, charging conveniently via pogo pins—a welcome improvement over the last model’s reliance on a AAAA battery.

The ThinkPad T14 and T16 models have also received updates; they feature slimmer bezels and can be configured with the latest Intel and AMD chips. The T14 and T16 now utilize LPCAMM2 RAM, which is designed to be more power-efficient and easier to upgrade. Both models come with user-replaceable batteries, making maintenance a breeze.

The T14S is the lightest in the T-series line, tipping the scales at just 2.43 pounds (1.1 kg), lighter than the MacBook Air. It offers a variety of processor options, including Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm Snapdragon. Interestingly, the T14S will also have a heavier 2-in-1 version available, but that will only come with Intel processors.

All these new laptops run on Windows 11, but in some regions, you can find the ThinkPad T14, T14S, T16, and X13 Detachable with Linux options (excluding the Qualcomm-based T14S).

According to a 2023 survey by TechRadar, over 70% of professionals prioritize lightweight and flexible laptops for remote work. This trend highlights the importance of devices that adapt to user needs, making these updates timely and relevant.

With these new releases, Lenovo continues to focus on combining power with portability in their ThinkPad line, fitting perfectly into the modern workspace.
