Ryan Gosling Preps for His Fifth ‘Saturday Night Live’ Hosting Stint — Watch the Hilarious Promo!

Ryan Gosling is gearing up to host Saturday Night Live for the fourth time, and he’s having fun with it. In a new promo, titled “Ryan Gosling Thinks He’s Joining SNL’s Five-Timers Club,” he gets a little ahead of himself, believing he’s reached a milestone. He struts around Rockefeller Plaza in a robe with the number five on it, adding to the humor.

In the promo, Gosling pulls some playful stunts, like lighting up a photo of Mikey Day and popping champagne on a fake horse. Day steps in to remind him of the truth: “Dude, what the hell are you doing?” he asks. “This is your fourth time hosting.” Gosling, taken aback, responds with a classic spit-take and insists, “I’m sure someone’s made this mistake before.” Day’s quick wit comes through as he replies, “Never once!”

So, when exactly did Gosling host SNL? His first time was back on December 5, 2015, followed by another gig on September 30, 2017. His last hosting was in April 2024, along with a cameo earlier that month. With this fourth appearance drawing near, many are excited to see what he’ll bring to the table.

Currently, Gosling is busy promoting his latest film, Project Hail Mary, set for release on March 20. This sci-fi flick, based on Andy Weir’s bestselling novel, is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Although the official reviews haven’t hit the scene yet, buzz from early press screenings has been positive, hinting at an exciting performance from Gosling.

With such enthusiasm from audiences, it’s clear Gosling’s charm and humor will shine once again on Saturday night. Let’s see if he nails that elusive five-timer status in the future!
