The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is facing ongoing threats from Iran, evidenced by a recent wave of attacks. Over the weekend, the UAE’s Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems intercepted 16 ballistic missiles. Fifteen were destroyed, while one fell into the sea. The systems also detected and intercepted 121 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with only two landing inside the UAE’s territory.
Since these hostilities began, a total of 221 ballistic missiles have been identified. Out of these, 205 were neutralized before reaching their targets. Additionally, 1,305 Iranian UAVs have been tracked, with 1,229 successfully intercepted. The continued aggression has unfortunately resulted in casualties, including three deaths and injuries to over 100 individuals of various nationalities.
