Porsche Taycan EV Shatters Four Guinness World Records – Watch the Exciting Video!

The Porsche Taycan has set an impressive new record for electric vehicles (EVs). Recently, it achieved the longest drift by an EV, confirming its incredible performance. With this new accomplishment, the Taycan now holds four Guinness World Records!

Since its launch in 2019, the Taycan has been breaking records. In 2020, it achieved its first record by drifting 210 laps, covering over 26 miles at the Porsche Experience Center in Germany in just 55 minutes. In 2021, driver Leh Keen took it to a new speed record, reaching 165.1 km/h inside an exhibition hall in New Orleans. Then, in 2023, the Taycan Cross Turismo made headlines by conquering the greatest altitude change by an EV at 5,573 meters.

On January 14, 2025, the Taycan GTS officially secured its fourth record. During this event, it completed 132 laps while drifting, covering approximately 10.87 miles in just 46 minutes. The world record attempt took place at the Porsche Arctic Center in Levi, Finland, monitored by an official from Guinness World Records.

Porsche designed a special 59-meter drift circle for this record, using a GPS for precise measurements. “With the new Taycan GTS, we have one of the most powerful electric vehicles on the market. So we were pretty confident that we could break the world record,” said Christian Lehwald, Managing Director of the Porsche Arctic Center.

This record follows the recent upgrade of the Taycan, which included improvements in driving range, charging speed, and overall performance. The Taycan Turbo GT, for example, is now the fastest road-legal Porsche, boasting an incredible 1,092 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds.
