Richmond got off to a good start by winning the doubles point. Lainey O’Neil and Lucy Webber teamed up for a strong 6-1 victory on court two. Beatriz Guerra and Elizabeth Novak followed suit with a 6-2 win at court three. However, the top doubles match was level at 4-4 when play was stopped.
In singles play, Cal State Fullerton turned the tide. Martina Markov dominated Sofia Barbulescu at the top spot, winning 6-0, 6-1. Chloe Schwarz continued the trend with a decisive 6-3, 6-0 victory over Lainey O’Neil.
The Titans extended their lead when Emilie Lugon-Moulin beat Elizabeth Novak 6-2, 6-1, and Milena Gevorgyan added another win against Beatriz Guerra, finishing 6-1, 6-4.
Richmond did manage to secure one singles point when Lucy Webber made a fantastic comeback against Seha Yu, winning 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5). In the final match, Amelia Zylberman narrowly edged Abby Lee 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3).
