One of the coolest aspects of Sucker Punch’s RPG, Ghost of Yotei, is its addictive coin-flicking mini-game. Fans loved it so much that many hoped it would become its own game or app. While that hasn’t happened yet, the good news is that you’ll soon find it in the online mode set to launch.
Ghost of Yotei Legends, a free multiplayer mode, will be available on March 10 for PS5 players. It promises exciting features like epic battles, raids, and various character classes. If you enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima Legends, this will feel familiar and even better.
In this new mode, players can engage in Zeni Hajiki. This mini-game lets you flick coins off a table, and now you can challenge your friends! Darren Bridges, the lead designer, shared that this feature was inspired by player feedback. He mentioned that the lobby is designed to offer activities while you wait for friends. You can track your achievements, customize your characters, and, of course, play Zeni Hajiki.
Bridges explained, “Our goal in designing this lobby was to give you something to do while waiting. We heard players wishing they could play that against friends, so we made it happen!”
Zeni Hajiki is more than just a fun distraction; it’s a chance to hone your skills and compete. With each flick of the coin, strategy comes into play, making it intensely engaging.
Additionally, the bamboo strike mini-game is coming back. Bridges noted that a mini leaderboard will track who excels, adding a competitive edge to the experience. There’s even a training area where players can practice perfect parries without pressure.
