Grace Arnolie and Alyssa Moreland Shine in All-Ivy Honors
In an exciting announcement from the Ivy League, senior guard Grace Arnolie and forward Alyssa Moreland from Brown University have secured All-Ivy honors. Arnolie made the First Team, while Moreland earned a spot on the Second Team.
This is a remarkable achievement for Arnolie, marking her fourth year of Ivy recognition. She started her journey with Honorable Mention in her freshman and sophomore years and was named to the Second Team last season. Notably, she is the first player from Brown to be on the First Team since Kyla Jones in 2023.
Moreland, on the other hand, celebrates her first All-Ivy recognition, a fantastic milestone as she wraps up her college career.
Throughout the season, Arnolie reached significant milestones, including hitting 204 career three-pointers, making her fifth on the program’s all-time list. She also set a personal best by sinking seven three-pointers during a victory against Cornell. With a remarkable three-point shooting percentage of 34.9, she ranks second in the Ivy League in this category and is tied for third in the program’s history for three-pointers in a single game.
Moreland had her own standout year, breaking records and making a name for herself. She grabbed a personal best of 19 rebounds in a key game against Dartmouth and tied several career-highs. Impressively, she ranked among the top 20 in the nation for rebounds, hitting a high of ninth with an average of 12.0 rebounds per game. She concluded her season as the only Ivy League player averaging a double-double, with stats showing 11.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
Additionally, senior forward Beth Nelson earned Academic All-Ivy honors for balancing her studies and athletics. She will graduate with a degree in chemistry this May.
These achievements put Brown University on the map in Ivy League basketball, highlighting the raw talent and dedication the players bring. Fans and analysts alike are excited to see how these players continue to develop, potentially paving the way for their professional careers in the future.
