Simple Steps to Create a Greener, More Sustainable Lifestyle

There’s a growing buzz around adopting eco-friendly lifestyles, and it’s not just on an individual level. Businesses are also getting in on the action. The push for sustainable living is prompting everyone to rethink how we use energy.

Renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, are gaining attention. They help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and lessen environmental damage. Simple everyday habits can kickstart this shift. For instance, saving electricity, choosing greener products, and supporting clean energy initiatives contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle.

As more people become aware, companies are adapting too. For many, energy efficiency is now a key part of their operations, aligning with sustainable practices. Industries are not just about producing quality products anymore; they are also focused on eco-friendly production processes.

Take Surabaya, for example. A new production facility there has recently turned to solar energy with a rooftop solar power plant. PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, a part of the Maspion Group, has integrated solar systems into its operations. Known for making glass tableware, this factory combines modern technology with a commitment to sustainability.

Susanto, the Assistant Plant Manager at PT Ishizuka Maspion Indonesia, highlighted the significance of this move, saying that it enhances their electricity capacity and reflects their dedication to renewable energy. He stated, “Through PLTS technology, we hope to create cleaner energy and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.” This kind of initiative supports national energy goals and helps tackle the increasing demand for sustainable business practices.

The solar power system was developed with a provider specializing in Solar-as-a-Service for businesses. This partnership was chosen based on various factors, including the alignments with industry needs and the provider’s track record in large-scale projects.

Rheza Adhihusada, CEO of Suryanesia, commended the collaboration, stating it marks a significant step toward promoting clean energy in industry sectors. He also appreciated the support from government bodies in fostering a renewable energy ecosystem in Indonesia.

Using renewable energy like this shows that sustainability is more than just a concept; it’s becoming a real part of our daily lives, from our homes to the workplace.
