Wright State (now 5-9) is heading back home to play Southeastern Missouri State at Nischwitz Stadium this weekend. The games are set for Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.
Indiana set the tone early, scoring four runs in the first inning. Jake Hanley kicked things off with an RBI double, which was followed by a three-run homer from Caleb Koskie.
In response, Cy Turner put one on the board for the Raiders with a solo home run in the second inning, marking his first of the season. They kept the momentum going in the fourth inning with two more solo shots. Hunter Warren and Braylen Blomquist each launched their third and second home runs of the season, respectively.
However, Indiana widened the gap with three runs in the sixth and five in the eighth, making it difficult for the Raiders to catch up. Wright State managed to add one more run in the seventh thanks to an RBI single from JP Peltier.
The Raiders utilized a mix of pitchers, with eight players taking the mound, but none pitched more than 1.1 innings. Keegan Holmstrom made his first collegiate start, handing off to a bullpen that included Abe Crall, Brody Papay, Michael Zielinski, Cooper Ashby, JJ Thompson, Matthew Johnson, and Caleb Ehling.
