Troy Faces Alabama in Tight Matchup
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Troy lost to Alabama 7-3 on Tuesday night, just before starting conference play this weekend.
Both teams recorded five hits, but Alabama (15-3) thrived on free passes, drawing seven walks and getting hit by pitches five times. Troy (6-10) managed only five walks and one hit by pitch.
In his first career start, Chase Cartron faced trouble right away, hitting the first two batters. Alabama quickly capitalized, scoring on a sacrifice fly from Luke Vaughn.
