A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.
Nowadays, many people are turning to content creation as a career. It’s common for them to juggle multiple jobs to pay the bills.
Take Jenna, for instance. By day, she’s a flight attendant. By night, she becomes an OnlyFans model—something she keeps under wraps from family and friends.
“I love flying around the world and being part of the cabin crew,” Jenna shared with Foxy Studios, an OnlyFans management agency. “When I stay in a hotel, I create sexy content for my fans.”
It’s a win-win for her. “The extra money is fantastic, and I get to explore a new side of myself,” she said.
But balancing these two worlds isn’t all glitz and glamour. “It can be tricky to manage everything,” Jenna admitted, especially since she keeps her side gig secret. “Sometimes, I feel really isolated.”
That pressure to maintain a cheerful persona and keep up the appeal for her fans can be exhausting. “I have to put on a smile in both jobs, and that can wear me down,” she explained. “Staying fresh and exciting is tough.”
Joy, the founder of Foxy Studios, noted that many creators live similar double lives. “About 60-70% of the creators we work with hide their OnlyFans work from employers and friends, especially in conservative industries like healthcare or education,” she said. This secrecy can lead to significant stress and anxiety.
The mental toll can be serious. Joy mentioned that burnout, anxiety, and even depression can arise from juggling these hidden identities. “We’ve seen creators struggle not because of their work but due to the overwhelming pressure to keep their lives separate,” she said. “Support systems are crucial for creators to maintain their mental health.”
Interestingly, a recent survey from the American Psychological Association found that 43% of adults report feeling anxious about financial issues, and many creators share this concern. With inflation and economic uncertainty, producing additional income through platforms like OnlyFans may seem appealing, yet it comes with its own challenges.
Despite the pressures, Jenna continues to find joy in her work. “At the end of the day, both jobs allow me to express myself,” she reflected. “It’s about finding balance.”
As content creation grows, the struggles of creators like Jenna highlight the hidden complexities behind the scenes. Understanding these challenges fosters more empathy and support for those in the industry.
