The parents of a Georgia high school student charged in the tragic death of his teacher have expressed their sorrow. They stated that Jason Hughes, the teacher, “meant the world” to their son, Jayden Ryan Wallace, and that their family is deeply grieving this loss.
Jason Hughes, a teacher at North Hall High School, died after being accidentally run over during a prank involving toilet paper. On March 6, a group of five teenagers went to Hughes’ home to wrap trees in toilet paper as a joke. As they were leaving, Hughes came outside, lost his footing, and tragically fell into the road. His death was a shock to everyone in the community.
The driver, 18-year-old Wallace, has been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving, and other offenses. The other four students involved face similar charges. All five have been released on bond.
