Fort Indiantown Gap Employee Association’s Impactful Gathering
On February 26, the Fort Indiantown Gap Employee Association held a “Food for Thought” event at the Keystone Conference Center. This gathering aimed to connect employees and share the association’s mission, which began in August 2025.
Chad Bogosh, the interim president, emphasized the association’s commitment to supporting the local community. “Our focus is on issues like veteran homelessness and food insecurity. If there’s a need, we want to help,” he said.
The event encouraged Fort Indiantown Gap employees—both federal and state—to learn about how they can contribute. Brooke Bowers, a board member, noted the importance of uniting all employees. “Getting the word out and fostering connections is our main goal,” she explained.
Looking ahead, the association has exciting plans. Chief Devan Kramer of the Fort Indiantown Gap Police Department highlighted initiatives such as a door decorating contest and food drives to engage more employees. “We hope to see greater participation. A gala is also in the pipeline; that’s a big dream for us,” Bogosh added.
In recent years, community involvement has become increasingly critical. According to a survey by the National Philanthropic Trust, 57% of Americans donated to charity in 2021, showing a growing commitment to giving back. This trend mirrors the goals of the Employee Association as they strive to strengthen community ties.
Engagement like this can lead to substantial changes. Research shows that volunteer communities can significantly impact local issues. Active participation can reduce food insecurity and improve social services for veterans.
