Modeling has always been a dream for me, but I kept it to myself for years. When the pandemic hit, everything slowed down. It caused many of us to think about what really matters in life. For me, it was a wake-up call. I realized that if I didn’t chase my dreams now, I might always be left wondering “what if.”
So, I took a leap and sought out training in modeling. This journey led me to work with Gustavo Granados and Charina Chacón, where I learned that modeling is more than just a dream. It’s a skill that requires hard work and dedication. Starting at 26 may seem late, especially in an industry where many start young, but for me, it felt just right. With a strong desire to learn, I embraced this new chapter and focused on my personal growth.
My experience as a personal shopper also shaped my approach to fashion. I learned that clothing is about more than trends; it’s about expression. Fashion tells a story about who we are and how we feel. When I step onto a set, I am not just wearing clothes. I connect with the mood and tell a story through styling. This deeper appreciation transforms my modeling into something more meaningful.
As I began working with international publications like Vogue Italia and InStyle, my perspective widened. Fashion is a global language, full of diverse cultures and ideas. It helped me realize that modeling involves versatility and a strong presence, not just looks. Through these experiences, I’ve grown not only as a model but as a person who values the artistry behind fashion.
Sure, starting a modeling career later can be daunting. I often felt the pressure of age in an industry focused on youth. But instead of letting it intimidate me, I chose to use it as fuel. Being a bit older gave me clarity and resilience, allowing me to navigate challenges with confidence. I focused on my journey and embraced the progress I made, reminding myself that there’s no perfect age to start chasing your dreams.
Now, I blend modeling with content creation. Social media allows me to share my journey authentically. I want people to take away the message that it’s never too late to pursue what you love. Dreams can change and evolve. The key is to have the courage to start and the determination to keep going.
Today, many people are rising as late bloomers in their careers. A recent survey highlighted that 78% of adults believe that success isn’t confined to a specific age. This shift shows that with perseverance, dreams can be pursued at any stage of life. As I continue to share my story, I hope to inspire others to believe in their potential, no matter when they start.
Growth is always possible. Always remember, it’s not about when you start, but about taking that first step and believing in yourself.
