Join Us for an Exclusive Webinar: Unveiling GLEWS+ — The Future of Global One Health Intelligence!

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) are hosting a virtual event on March 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM CET. This event will launch the updated Global Early Warning System (GLEWS+) platform and its new website.

GLEWS+ is a key initiative designed to enhance collaboration in health, combining the strengths of FAO, WHO, and WOAH. It aims to improve early detection of health threats. In today’s interconnected world, risks from health threats at the human-animal-ecosystem interface are rising. Factors like environmental changes, livestock intensification, and increased mobility make systems like GLEWS+ vital.

During the event, attendees will explore the new GLEWS+ platform and how it helps in risk assessment and coordinated responses to health threats. Experts will discuss the role of One Health intelligence in promoting global health security.

Recent data shows that emerging health threats have surged by 30% over the past decade, highlighting the urgency for effective monitoring systems. A 2022 WHO report emphasized that better communication between health sectors could save millions in prevention costs.

Stay informed about global health challenges and the innovative steps being taken to address them. For more details, check out the event webpage here or reach out via GLEWS@fao.org.
