Camden Heide’s Journey from Purdue to Texas

He remembers the electrifying dunk off a missed shot against Connecticut in the national championship and the thrilling game-tying 3-pointer against Houston in last year’s Sweet 16. These moments shaped him and his game.
Now at Texas, Heide made headlines again by sinking a crucial 3-pointer against Gonzaga, leading the Longhorns to a Sweet 16 matchup with his former team. “That shot felt important, just like the one against Houston last year,” he shared.
Heide transferred from Purdue after three seasons, seeking more playing time and a chance to make a bigger impact. At Texas, under head coach Sean Miller, he’s found just that.
