The online influencer known as Clavicular, real name Braden Peters, is back in the news for his troubling actions. The 20-year-old was arrested in Florida for misdemeanor battery. This incident ties back to a fight that occurred earlier this year involving his girlfriend and another influencer.
In February, Peters rented an Airbnb near Orlando, where his girlfriend, Violet Lentz, got into a heated altercation with another woman. Instead of trying to deescalate the situation, Peters livestreamed the fight, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. They concluded he instigated the brawl and used social media for his own gain.
Peters faced warrants for battery and criminal conspiracy. Law enforcement in Fort Lauderdale arrested him, and he spent the night at Broward County Jail but is expected to be released soon. Lentz, however, remains at large.
Interestingly, this was not Peters’ only brush with law enforcement that week. Earlier on the same day, he had an incident involving an alligator during a livestream. He and a friend shot at an alligator while on an airboat tour, which raised eyebrows online. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is looking into this shooting, and it’s important to note that harming alligators without permission is illegal in Florida.
Peters’ troubles aren’t new; this is his second arrest in two months. Just a few days after the fight, he was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona, for trying to enter a bar with a fake ID. Although he was briefly detained, prosecutors later declined to charge him.
Peters is known for his promotion of “looksmaxxing,” a controversial practice encouraging young men to improve their physical appearance to attract women and gain power. He has made alarming claims about the lengths he has gone to, including injuring himself and using substances like testosterone and meth to change his body.
This obsession with appearance and extreme behavior has gained him a following, but not without criticism. Peters often shares offensive content and has made racist remarks during livestreams. He has also associated with figures known for their far-right views, like Nick Fuentes and Andrew Tate, the latter of whom faces serious charges related to sexual offenses.
While Peters enjoys a controversial presence online, he dismisses political views, directing insults toward politicians yet praising others he sees as attractive. His actions highlight a troubling trend among some influencers who prioritize shock value over responsible behavior.
This situation is a sharp reminder that the line between entertainment and morality can blur in the digital age, leading to serious consequences. Social media continues to play a significant role in shaping our views on such figures, with many users reacting strongly to their antics, raising questions about accountability and the influence of modern influencers.
