The High Point University women’s rowing team successfully wrapped up their races in Sarasota, Florida, with a mix of challenges and opportunities to learn.
Coach Jessica Deitrick reflected on the experience, saying, “This weekend was a great chance for us to compete against strong teams. While we didn’t perform as well as we hoped, we’re eager to regroup and prepare for our next races.”

Next up, the Panthers are gearing up for the Old Dominion Double Dual in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 4.
In recent years, women’s rowing has gained popularity, and participation has increased dramatically. According to the NCAA, women’s rowing programs in colleges have expanded by over 20% in the last decade, signifying a growing interest in the sport.
As High Point looks ahead, they aim to build on their experiences and rise to new challenges in the upcoming races.
