WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Southern Connecticut State University gymnasts, Gabriela Dinisoe and Abby Royer, gave impressive performances at the 2026 WCGNIC Championship Event Finals.
Dinisoe tied for fifth place on the Balance Beam with a score of 9.7625, while Royer scored 9.800 in the Floor Exercise, finishing in seventh place. Both athletes made the WCGNIC All-America First Team. Additionally, Hannah Fitzgerald earned Second Team honors in the Vault, and Libby Allen received Second Team honors in the Floor Exercise.
This marks Dinisoe’s second consecutive year receiving All-American honors on the balance beam, having finished fourth last season. Allen also has a solid track record of All-American awards, securing First Team honors in 2025 and being a USAG All-American in 2024. Fitzgerald achieved her first All-American recognition in her two-year career, leading her team in the Vault event with 9.725 during the preliminary round.
This was Royer’s debut at the WCNICs. Now, she is gearing up for the 2026 NCAA National Championships Regional in Lexington, Ky., on April 2, 2026. Remarkably, she is the first SCSU gymnast to qualify for the NCAA championships since 1997.
