CORDOVA, TN – The Wright State golf team is having a strong showing at the Memphis Intercollegiate. After 36 holes, they’re tied for third place, with two players, CJ Scohy and Timmy Hollenbeck, in the hunt for the top spot.

Both Scohy and Hollenbeck are currently at three-under par, just two shots behind the leader. The final round starts at 9:30 a.m. ET. Wright State and Tarleton State are both at 11-over as a team, while Eastern Kentucky sits just ahead at eight-over.

Hollenbeck had an impressive first round, scoring a seven-under 65 with eight birdies. However, he faced challenges in the second round, finishing with a four-over 76. Scohy opened with a three-under 69 and followed up with an even par round of 72, finishing with a total of seven birdies across the two rounds.

Adam Horn ended the second round at nine-over, with scores of five-over 77 and four-over 76. Ian Asch started strong with an even par 72 but struggled in the afternoon, finishing at ten-over after an 82. Shane Ochs is at 17-over, with scores of nine-over 81 and a second round of 80.

The only team currently under par is Memphis, the tournament hosts, at eight-under. Their player, Diego Do Patrocinio Lourenco, leads individually at five-under.

This tournament highlights the competitive spirit of college golf. As players adapt to different course conditions and pressures, their performances reveal a lot about their skills and mindset.
