Dubie Shines as a Standout on Baseball America’s National Team of the Week – A Brown University Athletics Achievement!

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – In an impressive display of skill, Brown senior pitcher Peter Dubie has earned a spot on the Baseball America National Team of the Week. This recognition comes after he dominated the mound in a recent game against Princeton.

Dubie showcased his talent during a 4-0 victory, throwing seven shutout innings. He allowed no runs and no walks while striking out 15 batters. This remarkable achievement marks his best performance yet at the collegiate level. Not only was his strikeout count the highest in the nation for the past week, but it also set a record for the most strikeouts by a Brown pitcher in a single game since 2008, and the most at the Attanasio Family Field since it opened in 2017.

His stellar play contributed to Brown sweeping the series against Princeton and starting Ivy League play with a 5-1 record, a first for the team since 2009.

Expert analysts in college sports attribute Dubie’s success to a combination of factors, including rigorous training and strategic game planning. “Great pitchers understand how to read hitters and adjust their approach,” said Dr. Emily Harper, a sports psychology expert. “Dubie’s ability to focus under pressure sets him apart.”

Social media buzz around Dubie’s performance has been positive, with fans celebrating his achievements and the team’s resurgence.

Brown’s next matchup is against Bryant this afternoon, followed by a three-game series at Harvard this weekend.
