Jazeera Airways is shaking things up by adding four new destinations in India: Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur. This move makes Jazeera the only airline operating directly from Kuwait to India, expanding its reach to a total of 12 Indian cities with 49 flights each week.
These new routes aim to strengthen the connection between Kuwait and the large Indian community living there. The CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, emphasized the importance of India as a key market. Since they resumed flights to India on March 20, they’ve already served over 11,000 Indian passengers.
The new routes will allow many more people to return to their hometowns conveniently. They also play an essential role in supporting professionals who are crucial to various sectors, maintaining the movement of cargo between the two countries.
Kaizar Shakir, from the Indian Business and Professionals Council in Kuwait, praised Jazeera Airways for this expansion, highlighting its positive impact on the Indian community at a time when travel has been tough. He noted that this initiative shows how much the airline cares about maintaining important connections.
Jazeera Airways is operating through its dual-base network in Saudi Arabia, ensuring that despite current travel challenges, passengers have reliable options for traveling to and from Kuwait.
In total, Jazeera now operates over 31 destinations, covering 10 countries and planning around 1,000 flights, with a capacity of 250,000 seats and more than two million tons of cargo available through April.
The expansion under Project Vande Bharat highlights Jazeera’s commitment to fostering ties between Kuwait and India, offering convenient travel options and supporting needed economic links.
