SNAP benefits will start rolling out from February 5 in two states: Indiana and Georgia. The schedule for when you receive benefits depends on your last name in Indiana and your ID number in Georgia.
Even though SNAP is a federal program, each state manages how and when benefits are paid out. This means you’ll want to check your state’s specific payday information.
SNAP Payment Dates in Indiana
In Indiana, there will be 10 payment dates. Your food stamps will be added to your EBT card between February 5 and February 23. Here’s how it works based on the first letter of your last name:
- A or B: February 5
- C or D: February 7
- E, F, or G: February 9
- H or I: February 11
- J, K, or L: February 13
- M or N: February 15
- O, P, Q, or R: February 17
- S: February 19
- T, U, or V: February 21
- W, X, Y, or Z: February 23
SNAP Payment Dates in Georgia
In Georgia, SNAP benefits will also be distributed from February 5 to February 23. Your benefits will be loaded onto your EBT card based on the last two digits of your ID number:
- 00-09: February 5
- 10-19: February 7
- 20-29: February 9
- 30-39: February 11
- 40-49: February 13
- 50-59: February 15
- 60-69: February 17
- 70-79: February 19
- 80-89: February 21
- 90-99: February 23
The maximum amount you can receive from SNAP in both Indiana and Georgia varies by household size. For instance, a family of two can get up to $536, while a family of four may receive up to $975. A larger family of eight can receive as much as $1,756.
