Isabella Caporuscio Nominated for Tewaaraton Award
In an exciting announcement, the Tewaaraton Foundation has named Isabella Caporuscio from Stony Brook University as a nominee for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award. This award is one of the highest honors in college lacrosse, recognizing the top players in the nation.
Caporuscio shines on the field. She is among the best midfielders in the country, with impressive stats from this season: 57 points, 44 goals, and 13 assists over 15 games. Her performance places her in the top 50 nationwide for goals, points, caused turnovers, and ground balls. Earlier this year, she was also recognized as a Second Team All-American which highlights her exceptional skills.
Coached by Joe Spallina, Caporuscio is the 11th player from Stony Brook to earn this honor, showing the program’s strength and talent development. She has also been featured in Inside Lacrosse’s Top 50 Players list and received Preseason All-American recognition from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine.
