Cowing’s Stellar Performance Boosts Governors on Leaderboard – Austin Peay Athletics Shines!

DOTHAN, Ala. – The Austin Peay State University women’s golf team is making strides at the ASUN Championship. Thanks to Jordin Cowing, who shot a solid two-under par 70, the team moved up a position on the leaderboard. They ended the second round with a total score of 291 and are now in sixth place, just one stroke behind Lipscomb and three ahead of Bellarmine.

Cowing’s impressive performance has her tied for seventh individually. She recorded four birdies but had two bogeys during her round. Meanwhile, Jillian Breedlove shot an even par 72. She played well on the front nine, going two under, but had a tougher time on the back nine, finishing two over. Breedlove is now tied for 14th place.

Freshman Ella Arnzen made significant progress, moving up 13 spots with her one-over 73. She’s currently tied for 27th place. Abby Hirtzel is tied for 37th after a four-over 76. Makenna Cox also improved, gaining eight positions with another four-over 76 in the second round.
