Patrick Muldoon, known for his roles in “Days of Our Lives” and “Melrose Place,” passed away at age 57 on Sunday, as confirmed by his manager to Variety.
Muldoon first made a splash on “Days of Our Lives” from 1992 to 1995 as Austin Reed, returning to the role briefly in 2011 and 2012. He was also memorable as Jeffrey Hunter in “Saved by the Bell” in 1991 and portrayed the villain Richard Hart on “Melrose Place” from 1995 to 1996.
His film career took off with a role in “Starship Troopers” in 1997. Beyond acting, Muldoon was a keen producer, involved in projects like “The Tribes of Palos Verdes” and “Arkansas.” Just days before his death, he expressed his excitement about producing “Kockroach,” featuring stars like Chris Hemsworth and Taron Edgerton, currently filming in Australia.
His last acting project was in the crime thriller “Dirty Hands,” alongside Denise Richards. That film is expected to come out later this month.
Muldoon leaves behind his partner, Miriam Rothbart, his parents, and family members including his sister, Shana, and brother-in-law, Ahmet Zappa, as well as his niece and nephew.
