According to Bloomington Police Chief Mike Diekhoff, officers monitoring the crowd heard gunshots around 12:25 a.m. Upon arrival, they found five women aged 17 to 22 injured, primarily from gunfire or bullet fragments. While all were treated and sent home, one remained hospitalized in stable condition.
Diekhoff reported that a fight broke out among two women near the Five Guys restaurant on Kirkwood Avenue. Witnesses saw multiple people brandishing handguns. However, he mentioned that investigators believe two specific individuals fired the shots.
