Dallas Cowboys Make Moves After 2026 NFL Draft
In Frisco, Texas, the Dallas Cowboys are buzzing with excitement after the 2026 NFL Draft. They quickly shifted focus to free agency, eager to add “10-12 players to complete their roster.” Among their new signings is Marquez Valdes-Scantling, an experienced wide receiver.
Valdes-Scantling, 31, has signed a one-year deal with Dallas. He’s joined by two others: wide receiver Tyler Johnson and linebacker Curtis Robinson, who also signed one-year contracts.
Valdes-Scantling is the most seasoned of the trio. He was a fifth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in 2018 and played 59 games for them, starting in 39. His journey includes a spell with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022 and most recently, he played for the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
With two Super Bowl rings, Valdes-Scantling offers valuable experience to a receiving group that is still figuring out roles behind stars like CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Tyler Johnson, also a former fifth-round pick with a Super Bowl on his résumé, arrives in Dallas after a stint with the New York Jets.
Curtis Robinson is stepping into a reconfigured linebackers room. He went undrafted out of Stanford in 2021 and initially joined the Denver Broncos. He caught the attention of defensive backs coach Scott Symons, who is now the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator. Robinson has spent most of his career with the 49ers, where he played alongside Dee Winters, who he will reunite with in Dallas.
As the Cowboys prepare for their voluntary offseason program, they feel confident that their roster is shaping up to be competitive for the summer and beyond.
According to recent NFL statistics, teams that make significant changes during free agency often see an improvement in their win-loss records. The Cowboys seem to be banking on this trend as they look to build a strong foundation for the upcoming season.
In social media circles, fans have expressed enthusiasm over the new signings, especially Valdes-Scantling’s potential to enhance the team’s offense. As the draft buzz cools down, all eyes will be on the Cowboys to see how these new players fit into their game plan.
