W Hotels has made its debut in Saudi Arabia with the opening of W Riyadh – KAFD. This is the brand’s first property in the Kingdom, adding to Riyadh’s luxury hotel scene.
Located in the King Abdullah Financial District, the hotel combines business and leisure. It features 210 rooms and suites, including stunning penthouses that offer amazing city views. The design, crafted by LW Design, incorporates local Najdi patterns and textures, providing a contemporary twist on traditional styles.
As you enter, the lobby welcomes you with open seating and a striking art installation by Abdulnasser Gharem. The guest rooms blend modern elegance with Arabic-English typography, marble accents, and atmospheric lighting. The larger suites come with living areas, dining spaces, and even fitness facilities.
Dining options are diverse throughout the hotel. Sira, the main restaurant, focuses on open-fire cooking, while Beni serves specialty coffees and ice cream in a more casual setting. The outdoor WET Deck has cabanas and offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes. An open-air lounge called Sahari is also set to open later this year, promising late-night events.
For wellness and fitness, the AWAY Spa and FIT gym provide ample options. The hotel also includes several meeting rooms and a ballroom for business functions.
This opening shows how Riyadh’s hospitality scene is evolving. Global brands are increasingly establishing their presence, transforming the city into a vibrant mix of culture and modern living. According to a recent report by the Saudi Tourism Authority, the hospitality sector is expected to grow rapidly, with new projects in the pipeline and increasing tourist numbers.
With W Riyadh – KAFD, visitors will find a unique blend of luxury and local charm, reflecting the changing landscape of Saudi Arabia’s capital.
