A man is wanted after allegedly threatening a woman with a machete over a parking spot at the University of Houston. This unsettling incident unfolded on April 6 around 9 p.m.
According to the university police, the woman was sitting in her car, visiting a friend. Suddenly, a man approached her, brandishing a machete and demanding she move. Feeling threatened, the woman complied and left the parking space. The man then parked his own vehicle in the spot before driving away.
Police later found the man in the parking lot, and the woman was able to identify him. He has been named as Ricky Greer. Witnesses mentioned that Greer claimed to be a university employee during the exchange.
A university source confirmed that he did work there, possibly in the engineering school. However, they have not verified his current status.
Interestingly, the woman expressed hesitation to press charges, fearing for her relative’s safety, who is a student at the university. As a result, a warrant has been issued for Greer’s arrest on a charge of aggravated assault. Despite the passage of nearly a month, he remains at large.
