Timothy Rosignol is making waves as he prepares to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Southern Indiana. With degrees in sociology and German studies, plus a cultural awareness training certificate, he’s earned the President’s Medal, the school’s top honor for undergraduates.
But his achievements go beyond academics. Timothy is actively involved in the Sociology and German Clubs. As a research assistant in the Sociology Department and Vice President of the Sociology Club, he leads with enthusiasm. He’s also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Delta and Alpha Mu Gamma, showcasing his dedication to sociology and language.
Timothy’s global perspective grew when he traveled to Osnabrück, Germany, as part of a university exchange program. This experience deepened his understanding of different cultures and social dynamics, crucial insights for someone passionate about sociology.
His contributions to campus life are impressive. As an Academic Peer Advisor for the College of Liberal Arts, Timothy has supported countless students over the past three years. His attention to detail and positive attitude make him a beloved figure among his peers.
Engagement doesn’t stop there. Timothy plays a vital role in Welcome Week, orientation leadership, and serves as a tour guide, helping new students feel welcome and connected at USI. His commitment extends to promoting diversity and inclusion, where he serves as the Administrative Vice President in the Student Government Association.
Music is another facet of his talent. As a tenor-baritone in the USI Chamber Choir, Timothy has performed in Carnegie Hall and toured Ireland. Beyond music, he shares his research and insights at academic conferences, including memorable presentations at the North Central Sociological Association meetings.
Through the Emerging Leaders Program, he has honed his leadership skills and currently takes on the role of Vice President of Administration for the Student Ambassador Organization. His resume also includes an internship with the Evansville City Human Relations Commission.
As he moves on to James Madison University in Virginia for a master’s in quantitative psychology and a doctorate in assessment and measurement, Timothy aims to make a meaningful impact in education, grounded in the student-centered approach he values from his time at USI.
