He recorded 23 tackles during his varsity career and led his team as a senior. His peers recognized him as a team captain for two years. He is the son of Ashley and Evander Jones, who played football at Brown and graduated in 1993. He has three older brothers: Evander, Eli, and Gray. Eli has played football at both Western Kentucky and Austin Peay.
