The Journey Community Food Pantry is set to distribute groceries on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, between 10 AM and 12 PM, and again from 1 PM to 5 PM. Each family can expect a variety of food items, including meat, deli products, fruits, vegetables, breads, desserts, and canned goods.
To receive food, clients need to present a photo ID along with a recent utility bill, medical bill, or government mail. The address on both the ID and the mail must match. This process helps the pantry verify household size for fair distribution.
Additionally, families with verified children will receive extra food bags, including meat. Proof of the child’s identity can be shown using a social security card or school record. It’s essential to come prepared with the right documents.
Households can receive assistance once a month. The pantry primarily serves residents of Floyd and Chattooga Counties in Georgia and Cherokee County in Alabama.
The pantry is located at:
Journey Community Food Pantry
15 Redmond Court NW
Rome, GA 30165
Due to the anticipated increase in clients, there might be longer wait times. Your patience and understanding are appreciated during busy distribution days.
