Discover the Groundbreaking Alexa+ Speakers Not Made by Amazon!

Months after Amazon launched Alexa+ on its devices, it’s now expanding to third-party hardware, starting with Bose.

Bose has introduced a new Lifestyle Collection of home audio products that fully integrates Alexa+. With these devices, you can use natural voice commands for various functions, from playing music to setting up meditation sessions. Imagine asking your speaker to play calming sounds for half an hour while you unwind.

The centerpiece is the $299 Lifestyle Ultra Speaker. It can work alone or in a bigger setup, enhancing your audio experience through features like vertical firing when integrated with Dolby Atmos systems. There’s also the $1,099 Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar, which features multiple drivers to create spatial audio, whether or not the content is mastered in Atmos. For those who crave deeper bass, the $899 Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer rounds out the collection, helping create a rich 7.1.4-channel sound system.

These devices connect through Wi-Fi, supporting Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Spotify Connect, plus Bluetooth for direct streaming.

Compatibility and Availability

You don’t need to buy the latest Bose products to enjoy Alexa+. Older models, including the Smart Ultra Soundbar and Home Speakers, can also be updated to work with the new AI features. Users in the U.S. just need to opt in on the Alexa website to gain access.

Alexa+ is either complimentary with a Prime membership or available separately for $20 monthly, making it accessible for many.

Future Trends

This rollout comes at a time when smart home assistant technology is evolving rapidly. According to a recent survey by Statista, around 41% of U.S. households now own a smart speaker, a significant increase over previous years. The demand for enhanced AI capabilities is clear; people want their devices to be smarter and easier to use.

Experts believe that as more companies adopt advanced AI, the competition will lead to further improvements and features, making smart homes even more efficient. As user feedback drives product innovation, companies will likely refine their voice recognition and natural language processing, making interactions with devices more intuitive.

In essence, while Bose’s new devices provide impressive audio quality, they also signify a shift towards integrating smarter functionalities into everyday products. This move not only enhances the listening experience but also simplifies how we interact with technology in our homes.
